ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Stephen Kanti Mahanty, and I am currently a sophomore at Harvey Mudd College pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Political Science. I was born at a very young age from the diverse country of India and immigrated to the United States when I was a wee child. In the US, I lived in California, Arizona, Texas, and Minnesota (where I attended high school).

My passion for engineering stems from fascination with how things work in the real world and a desire to improve these things. I am supported by a strong math and physics background from the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Mathematics Program (UMTYMP) and the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program that I attended in high school.

I have a variety of interests, but I'll want to keep it short and sweet.

Main Academic Interests: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Mathematical Modeling, Signal Processing, AI, and Political Science.

Main Personal Interests: Cooking, Swimming, Reading, Traveling, Music (I play the bassoon, trombone, saxophone, and percussion!), and Simulation Racing.
